Business 03 — Business Coordination

Business Coordination

Your partner on the ground,
from first contact to the work site.

Doing business across borders takes more than a shared language. Business customs differ, negotiations move differently, and details get lost on site. When any one of these breaks down, the project stalls.

WITS supports overseas companies entering Japan and Japanese companies expanding abroad. We go beyond interpreting: the same person stays involved from finding the right counterpart through negotiations to on-site work after the contract.

Services

Services

01For overseas companies entering Japan

Setting up your base in Japan

We act as your person on the ground for establishing a Japanese entity and securing an office, coordinating with local professionals and counterparts and handling the process in Japanese.

Contract and terms negotiation

We deal directly with the Japanese side when negotiating terms such as office leases, explain Japan-specific business practices, and work toward terms both sides can accept.

Partner outreach and meeting setup

We identify the right companies, schools, and organizations in Japan, make the first contact, and set up the meeting, starting with working out who the real decision-maker is.

Project coordination in Japan

We sit between your head office and your Japanese counterparts as a bilingual project coordinator and keep day-to-day work moving.

02For Japanese companies expanding abroad

Partner development and business trips

We research manufacturers and prospective partners in Europe and plan the visits. On site, we accompany the client from travel to the meetings, including unannounced visits.

Interpreting for meetings and negotiations

We interpret at the table, and also help frame the issues and present the case in a way the other side will follow.

Cross-cultural advice

Japan and Europe differ in how fast decisions are made and how contracts and deadlines are understood. We explain those differences before they cause a misunderstanding.

On-site interpreting in Japan

When engineers come from overseas, we accompany them at work sites in Japan, interpret work instructions and meetings, and act as the go-between during their stay.

Why WITS

Why clients choose WITS

First-hand experience on both sides

Our CEO spent his twenties in Germany, working inside a local organization as a player and a manager, and still serves it as an advisor. He knows Japanese and European ways of working from the inside.

Interpreting, negotiation, and coordination, end to end

Work that is usually split among several providers is handled through a single point of contact. The coordinator who has followed your project from the first meeting stays with it to the end, so nothing is lost in a handover.

English, German, and Japanese

We work with you in English or German and with your Japanese counterparts in Japanese, so nothing is lost between the two sides.
